Regine was born and raised in Belgium. She received formal art training during 4 years at the Art Academy in Eeklo, has studied with nationally known watercolorartists, such as Gilbert Declercq, Nicole Vlerick,
Fons Daelman, joined the classes of Thierry Bonnaffe, and continues to do so because she sees learning as a life long process.

During summertime she used to paint outdoors in the Netherlands. She also got interested in making sculptures with self hardened clay. After the passing of her husband, Regine did not pursue her art career, until she immigrated to Florida with her daughters 5 years later. She took up watercolor again, joined the classes of Terry Madden and became a Madden Certified Teacher.

Last summer she came in contact with Brigitte Grade, a wonderful Belgian Artist , creator of Powertex, and the trendsetter in the development of new techniques with textile hardening products. In that workshop (together with her daughter Valerie), a complete new world revealed. With the introduction of this new product it became possible to create extraordinary artwork.

Returning to the United States Regine and Valerie became very prolific and created many artworks with the Powertex products. An exhibition was organized to introduce the new creations to artists and the public. Regine received her certification as a Powertex instructor and is looking forward to introduce you in the fascinating world of Powertex.
